DCDAR's mission supports historic preservation, patriotism and education, including: fostering good citizenship and welcoming new citizens at naturalization ceremonies; promoting literacy; providing continual stewardship of the District of Columbia boundary stones, our nation’s first national monuments; and honoring and supporting veterans.
