2024-2026 State Regent's Pin

$35.00

The District of Columbia state pin is the hibiscus.

A large and showy flower, the hibiscus is a large and diverse flower found around the world. Although the flower has various meanings to different cultures, in the United States the pink/red hibiscus is a symbol of friendship and love.

This flower pin symbolizes the diversity of our DCDAR membership, the friendships we share, and our love for the organization. The sparkle of the DAR mission of education, patriotism, and historic preservation are represented by the three stamens.

We hope DC Daughters are as visible and showy in the DC community as the beautiful hibiscus, recognizing people who make a difference in our communities, allowing others to enjoy the fruits of our community service, and attracting women to join our organization.

Remember why you joined DAR and why you have remained a member. Enjoy the friendships and opportunities DAR offers. Participate in your passions/hobbies that are included in one of our many committees. Most importantly, have fun, and along the way, make sure to share the beauty of DCDAR!
